PERFORMERS

Adam Krauthamer
horn

Adam Krauthamer moved to Manhattan after completing his master's degree in 2006 at the Yale School of Music, where he had studied with William Purvis. In New York, Adam is pursuing an active freelance career and can be found playing in a number of groups, performing a wide variety of music, from Broadway shows to chamber music.

Last year Adam appeared with The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Santo Domingo Festival Orchestra, The Key West Symphony, Jethro Tull and STYX. Also in 2007 Adam performed in Weill Hall as part of the Osvaldo Golijov / Dawn Upshaw Young Artists Concerts. This summer Adam played in the orchestra for The New Jersey Opera Festival and did a series of studio recordings for NFL Films to record the music for the current HBO special "Hard Knocks."

Currently Adam has been appointed Principal Horn of The Radio City Orchestra for 2007-2008. In addition to his work in and around New York Adam often travels to Philadelphia, where he plays principal horn in the Philly Pops and subs in The Philadelphia Orchestra. His connection to the Philadelphia music scene stems back to 1999, when he was accepted into The Curtis Institute of Music, where studied with both Myron Bloom and Jerome Ashby.
