Sarah Beaty
Clarinettist Sarah Beaty performs as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician throughout Britain, Europe and the US. In the UK she performs on the IMS Open Chamber Music at Prussia Cove, she collaborates with Ensemble 360, the Aronowitz Ensemble and has performed live on BBC Radios 2 and 3.
In NYC Sarah co-founded the Ikarus Chamber Players during her studies at the Juilliard School. Sarah also plays with the Wet Ink Composers, Columbia Composers, Argento New Music Project and the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra. This summer Sarah will attend the Marlboro Chamber Music Festival in Vermont.
Sarah is a recipient of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Woodwind Scholarship, the June Alison Woodwind Award from the Philharmonia Orchestra/Martin Musical Fund, the Musician Benevolent Funds Ian Fleming Award, and the 2004 Hattori Foundation Senior Award. Earlier this year Sarah gave a recital at the Wigmore Hall in the 2007 YCAT. Sarah has given her recital debut at The Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, all alongside duo partner Sam Armstrong.
