The Times Center is the centerpiece of The New York Times Building designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano. Located in the heart of the Times Square District adjacent to The New 42nd Street, Piano's new building has been hailed for its "fine sense of proportion, the love of structural detail, the healthy sense of civic responsibility." Piano himself asserts that "the story of this building is one of lightness and transparency."

This state-of-the-art auditorium is acoustically tuned and outfitted with the latest digital systems. With its cherry wood walls, red velvet seating, natural light, and rich textures, The Times Center is a welcoming and comfortable space. The Times Center hosts a variety of cultural performances and events, as part of its commitment to the Times Square neighborhood that bears its name.
