Ways to Give

A gift in your will

Whether you designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate, your legacy gift will empower the continued work of Metropolis.

I [name], of [city, state ZIP], bequeath the sum of $[ ] or [ ] percent of my estate to Metropolis Ensemble Inc., a nonprofit organization with a business address of 3433 84th Street, Queens, NY 11372 and a tax identification number 34-2047561 for its unrestricted use and purpose.

Beneficiary designations

Your retirement plans, life insurance policies, and annuities can all help bring our creative projects to life and support local communities via our arts education program for underserved children.

Non-cash assets

Donating certain non-cash assets like real estate can provide significant tax benefits while advancing the mission of Metropolis.

Qualified charitable distributions

If you are 72 or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA, allowing you to exclude the amount of your RMD from your income, even if you don’t itemize your taxes each year.

The bequest policy of Metropolis that all gifts shall be presumed to be for all charitable purposes (i.e. unrestricted) unless there is an explicit restriction.
