Kelly Talim

Born in Osaka, Japan, Kelly Talim began studying the violin at the age of seven, making her solo debut with the Oregon Symphony five years later. Kelly has since performed with the Sendai Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Montgomery Symphony, and the Kobe City Chamber Orchestra, among others. A laureate of several national and international competitions including the Cooper International Competition and the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, she has given solo, concerto, and chamber performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Benaroya Hall across the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Korea, and Japan. An avid chamber musician, she has made appearances at Juilliard’s ChamberFest as well as the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove. Kelly was also featured in HBO’s documentary, Joshua Bell: A YoungArts MasterClass, which was aired on American national television. A graduate of the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program, Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University and a Master of Music from The Juilliard School, under the tutelage of Li Lin. Additionally, she has worked with renowned artists such as Arnold Steinhardt, Shmuel Ashkenasi, James Ehnes, and Vadim Gluzman at the Stradivarius Society in Chicago. She lives in New York City
