Marina Kifferstein

Marina Kifferstein (she/they) is a violinist and generative artist based in NYC. Equally comfortable in major international venues and DIY performance spaces, Marina enjoys a diverse career that encompasses contemporary chamber music, improvisation, composition, and classical performance. She is a founding member of TAK ensemble and The Rhythm Method string quartet, a member of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, and often performs with the International Contemporary Ensemble, Wet Ink, and Talea Ensemble. In addition to teaching and performing residencies at universities including Harvard, Stanford, and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Marina is on faculty at the United Nations International School, the Composers Conference, and the Composer's Institute of the Lake George Music Festival. She holds degrees from Oberlin and the Manhattan School of Music, and is currently pursuing a performance doctorate at the CUNY Graduate Center. For more information, visit www.marinakifferstein.com.
