Playlist for the week of February 26, 2021

Some of these songs are by artists I’ve loved since I was young. Some are by incredible composers and performers whom I am honored to be able to call my friends. Some are simply serendipitous discoveries as of late. All are songs that I have leaned on heavily over the last year for escape, comfort, inspiration, and hope.

I hope you enjoy this journey from beginning to end. Soar with Wye Oak. Dive deeply with Eleanor Alberga and Michi Wiancko into fascinating new worlds. Let Grey McMurray leave you in tears (I cry every time). To all of the artists who have kept creating during these trying times: thank you. This playlist is a celebration of the beauty that you bring to this world. —Ayane Kozasa
