I included tracks from artists that are some of my all-time favorites, which are Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, J Dilla, Flying Lotus, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. I have also included my colleagues and friends Ambrose Akinmusire, Matt Evans, Molly Joyce, Port Mande (Mark Dover and Jeremy Jordan), and Immanuel Wilkins, who have recently released tracks in 2020.
The end product is a combination of electro-acoustic, neo-soul to hip-hop, but I think somehow they share a common ground.
Can you find stillness amidst the chaos?

this week’s curator: Erika Dohi
NYC-based pianist Erika Dohi, a multi-faceted artist with an eclectic musical background, has been described as a “dynamic” performer whose “technique is decidedly unidiomatic” (Classicalite). Currently, she’s working on her solo debut album, consisting of her compositions and new commissions by Andy Akiho and William Brittelle. The album ‘I, Castorpollux’ is set to release under a label, 37d03d (owned by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Aaron Dessner, and Bryce Dessner of The National) in Spring 2021.
