An interactive chamber music concert featuring composers Timo Andres, Anna Clyne, and David Bruce from April 2010 at Americas Society.

Metropolis produced an interactive chamber music concert in April 2010 at Americas Society, involving Metropolis Ensemble's featured composers for our spring season: Timothy Andres and Anna Clyne, and David Bruce.

Metropolis Ensemble presented the New York premiere of Timo Andres' piano quartet I found it by the sea, paired with Brahms' masterwork in the genre, Op. 25. Inspired by this work, Andres sets an original Brahms theme as a "trope" or echo of his own.

Also featuring the world premiere of a new string quartet by Anna Clyne, Primula Vulgaris, and a new arrangement of songs by Renaissance composer John Dowland for recorder and string quartet from composer David Bruce.
