Pianist Eliran Avni plays expressively in both fast and slow passages; his contribution is outstanding. Naxos’s close sound…emphasizes the attack in Dorman’s punchy rhythms…many will respond to the joyousness of the writing and youthful enthusiasm of the performances on offer.
